Griselda Duarte & Nicolás di Rago's second Intensive weekend in Berlín. Demo, guided práctica & workshops. 

Griselda Duarte and Nicolás di Rago met at Floreal Milonga, Bs As several years ago. Their instant connection, understanding and enjoyment of the dance was the starting point of years of passionately dancing together in "las milongas" of Bs As. Griselda now lives in Berlín. Nicolás is back on tour in Europe. This is their 2nd time teaching and showing together in town.

Thema: " Signature Figuras" of old Milongueros. Representative figuras of old milongueros that became part of the living history of tango. Analysis and revisitation of exquisite figuras that became a trademark of their creators.

Thema: Giros, Barridas & Voleos. Combinations. All sequencies suitable for the dancefloor.

13:45hs - Ws 2: Milonga
Thema: Milonga Lisa y con Traspié. Analisis of rhytmic structures. Technique, expression & figuras.

All classes will focus on fundamental tools for social dance. We will also deal with technical aspects to develop a more joyful dance and enrich your connection with your partners.

Griselda Duarte started dancing in 2006 in San Telmo, Bs As at "Las prácticas de Cochabamba". She has studied with Silvio La Vía, Eduardo Pareja "Parejita", Toto Faraldo, whom he assisted in his lessons; "Los Totis" and Natalia Games and Gabriel Angio. Her tango has almost exclusively taken place at the milongas of Bs As. Griselda possesses a unique musical taste and a profound and gentle embrace, two defining features of a "true milonguera". She now resides in Berlin.

Nicolás di Rago dances tango since 1994 and works as a dancer since 1998. He has taken part in theatre shows, musicals and plays with artists such as Juan Carlos Copes, Raúl Lavié, Julián Plaza, Daniel Binelli, Hugo Marcel, Guillermo Fernández, Osvaldo “Marinero” Montes, Juan Darthés, among others. He has performed for presidents, government officers, ambassadors and celebrities from the fields of business, politics and the arts. His has performed and taught in Switzerland, Italy, France, Spain, Romania, China, The Philippines and South Korea. Since 2003 he produces theatre plays and concerts and directs tango musicals. In 2004 he creates the company Estampas de Tango. In 2007 he is a finalist in Bs. As. World Tango Championship, Salón Category. In 2009 he sets up “Menesunda Tango Club"in Mar del Plata, Argentina, where his tango school is based. Since 2012 he organizes MENESUNDA TANGO SALÓN FESTIVAL in Mar del Plata, Argentina. He has been appointed Cultural and Tourist Representative of MDQ to the World by Mar del Plata City Council. He now lives and works in Mar del Plata and Buenos Aires.
His rance respects, integrates and re-interprets the inheritance of his tango and music teachers. His main tango teachers have been Rodolfo Dinzel, Juan Carlos Copes, Gustavo Naveira, Gabriel Angio but many other milongueros and dancers have left their mark on his dance. Owner of a warm “abrazo” both intense and smooth he combines traditional elements from Tango Salón with energetic and more current moves in organic dialogue with music and his partner.
His passion for teaching and his pedagogic background result in enjoyable and intense classes that take place in an amiable and relaxed atmosphere. The “abrazo”, the connection, musicality and the joy of the dance have a key role in his teaching.
