Julian ist Deutscher und spricht ausserdem fliessend englisch und spanisch. Er unterrichtet Samstags mit seiner Lebensgefährtin Aurelie.
Julian is a professional tango dancer, teacher and musician. He taught and performed for 3 years at DNI tango school /company in Buenos Aires. Julian: "During my teaching in DNI tango in Buenos Aires I allready gave around 3000 privat lessons and a lot of group lessons. I teached all the levels from beginners until professional dancers. Before becoming a professional dancer, I was a jazz musician playing the double bass. As a musician, I have also studied tango music and played in tango orchestras like El Cachivache, performing in Buenos Aires and Europe. What I like most about tango is the improvisation with the partner, moving in harmony with the music, and understanding the biomechanics that generate our movements."
Aurelie ist Französin und lebte vier Jahre in Buenos Aires, wo sie Tango in allen Facetten studiert und Julian kennengelernt hat.
Aurelie: I worked as an assistant teacher at the DNI tango school in Buenos Aires and I took lessons with many celebrated tango dancers. During my time in Buenos Aires, I also studied contemporary dance at Ana Frenkel’s school. I have danced for more than 15 years. I started dancing in France: jazz, rock’n roll, and latin (especially salsa and bachata). Before my stay in Argentina, I lived for 2 years in China where I taught salsa dancing. What I like most about tango is the connection with the partner and the opportunity to express myself through the dance. Beyond dance, I am passionate about tango music, tango lyrics, and the Argentine culture.
